Steve Childs (1967-69), Bob Childs (1965-72) and Michael Walker (1990-2002)
We were in attendance on Saturday 20th July to witness the first innings fight back by the West Indies and England’s counter punch in their second innings. They ignored Bob’s advice to be watchful and play low risk shots! We were lucky with the weather and had the company of Steve’s family and my contacts from Leicester. The OL’s cap did prompt some enquiries from passing spectators. I missed the giant strawberries that Tony Williams had been able to share with us last year as this date clashed with several King’s Lynn Festival events. The 2025 Men’s Test matches are against India but other series for ODIs, T20 and Women’s cricket will.be allocated to dates and venues later this year.
