My brother Steve left KES in 1969 and started his career in journalism as a trainee reporter with the Lynn News at their offices in Purfleet Street. Malcolm Powell began a similar path in 1970 after leaving KES in 1968 with 8 O-levels, while Steve moved on to Peterborough and Sheffield.
