If you have heard of Old Lennensian Vernon Barkway Pye you are probably a living relative or would qualify as a member of Lee Mack’s 1% Club! I had hoped he was connected to the Pye Electronics group founded in 1896 but this drew a blank. However he was certainly a part of the story of how the history of K.E.S. and Hackney Downs School became connected from 1940 onwards…
