Many previously unknown photos of K.E.S football teams from U12s to the 2nd XI have been uploaded to the website. We have tried to verify dates and levels etc. using the magazines and our growing team of helpers. Many thanks are due to Steve Collison and Don Ayre for lending us their personal photo albums which have provided us with much information we did not possess. As usual please contact us if you think we have erred or can provide missing teams which might fill in some of the gaps that still exist.
In the Archive under Football/Other Teams you will find U12’s from 1965 to 2003; U13’s from 1955 to 2012; U14’s from 1955 to 1972 – one of which includes your Archives Manager, the only time he played in a school team other than cricket!; U15’s from 1956 to 2015; and 2nd XI teams, 1927 to 1974. There is even one for pre 1906 – naming the year, level or captain might be beyond us!
We still have quite a few unknowns which Andrew will send out and we hope you will help us with information about them.
