Can anyone remember this fresh-faced young man? It is John (Gordon) Brown, who attended KES 1965-69. I knew him well, as a fellow graduate of that celebrated finishing school known as Tilney St Lawrence County Primary School.
Tilney school averaged one grammar school entrant per year. Following John’s success in ’65 came Kelvin Clare (1966), myself (1967) and David Everett (1968).
John, whose nickname was Bruin, emigrated to Canada in 1977, but still recalls fondly his time at both schools – and wonders if any more of his old school mates can remember him.
