1st XI cricket team photographs for the 1970s have been uploaded. What a galaxy of talent! A challenge for any former player, scorer or coach would be to select the best 12 to represent K.E.S. from the pool of around 70-80 names. It would be great if we could source team photographs for 1978 and 1979 and actual photographs for 1973 to 1977 instead of relying on the magazine copies.
Note the background for the Tim Gregory team of 1974. It looks like the fence for the swimming pool.
Even before Mr Sleigh retired in 1976 teams look increasingly hairy! Maybe the late Bob Willis who played for and later captained England in the years 1971-84 helped this trend?
