Welcome to the Old Lennensians Association
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the new website of the Old Lennensians Association which will expand as time goes by and provide you with up to date information about what we are doing.
If you have got as far as reading this, the chances are that you are already a member or thinking about becoming one. All former pupils of the school are old lennensians by definition and all can become Old Lennensians by choice. The only qualifications you need are: pride in your old school, gratitude for its help in making you who you are, a desire for fellowship with others who feel the same way and, more than anything, a desire to serve the present school and support the learning of the current pupils.
We are currently exploring ways of doing this with the school. One obvious contribution we make is by providing funds for various prizes and we will consider providing anything the school needs which it could not reasonably expect the Academy Trust to provide. We would rather enrich the experience of pupils than subsidise what is already being done. Our membership fees are currently £10 per annum and the income we have will be used as far as possible to make a real difference to the school which we all love.
The Old Lennensians have existed for many years and for a long time were involved in cultural and sporting activities with and sometimes against the school. Indeed, after I left KES in 1971 I played quite a number of fixtures in the OLs football team. The Association subsided once or twice and people of vision and determination reformed it. The present committee are heirs to a proud tradition of service to the school. We hope to be worthy of the tasks we face. The main one is to encourage as many former pupils as possible to join us and form an ever greater source of support to the school.
I am proud to be an Old Lennensian. You should be.

Andrew Stephen, Chairman of the Old Lennensians Association.
